The house sparrow (Passer domesticus)

The house sparrow (Passer domesticus) is a small, granivorous and insectivorous songbird with conical bill and chunky body. Males have a grey crown, black bib, streaked-brown upperparts and greyish white underparts; females are grey-buff overall.
